We have visited here regularly on our trips to the UK. The food is always good and the staff attentive. They do some non standard Indian food from Goa and other places as well as the standard classic ‘Indian Restaurant’ menu. Their Lamb Balti is really good and they do an excellent Sag Paneer which has decent fresh spinach in it rather than the mush that so many places manage to achieve. It’s a slightly odd place in that the front part is very modern with cool white tones and the back area is more old fashioned. It always seems busy in a street that has many Indian restaurants most of which are half empty.

Our favourite Indian in Chester, always an enjoyable visit. Good honest food, very good service, and vibrant atmosphere in the new part of the restaurant at the front. Rear not yet upgraded, so almost like two restaurants in one. Recomended.

This is my favourite Indian Restaurant in Chester, its a great place, good value and the food is very tasty and not greasy. Occasionally the service can be too good, i.e. you get asked the same questions two or three times, but better that than to be ignored. We love it, and go there sometimes 3 times a month!!

I’ve eaten here many times and always found the food to be first class and the service to be faultless. The restaurant has recently had somewhat of a make-over and now has a very modern atmosphere. The food is as good as ever with some interesting regional Indian dishes on offer, although prices have increased to a little above average, but still good value for money. A particular big ‘plus’ is that the chef will come out into the restaurant and personally ask you how you enjoyed your meal. Not something you get too often! Definitely my favourite Indian restaurant in cHester!

Our visit to Chester was complete when we visited the Chester Tandoori. The restaurant had just been given a very clean white makeover, with white leather seating and bue lighting – very nice. On arrival the staff were very attentive and helpful. A bottle of Savignon-Blanc was very reasonable and we didn’t wait long for our excellent starters – Salmon & Pakora. The main course we chose was Chicken Ginger and the Chicken Pasanda and we considered this the very best Indian meal we had ever had – and we have had a few! The food was, without doubt, freshly prepared and the tastes were perfect. Well done Chester Tandoori!
