Tickets have gone on sale for a charity dinner in aid of victims of Pakistan’s monsoon floods. Teacher Bhupinder Lace, of Dicksons Drive, Newton, will be hosting the gala evening at Restaurant 1539 at Chester Racecourse. The event will be taking place at 7pm on Sunday, September 26. Bhupinder, a senior teacher at St Christopher’s Special School in Wrexham, said guests would enjoy a two-course meal featuring food that would typically be eaten in the region where the flooding occurred. First served will be popadums donated by Abdun Noor from Chester Tandoori Restaurant, followed by starters of either tandoori chicken thighs or dahl with chapatti.
